Can you help me with my economics homework?

Wednesday, March 11th, 2009

Okay, I have done the work, but I'm not sure if I did it right. heres a set of hypothetical production possibilities for a nation.
combo autos (in thousands) beef (in thousands of tons)
a 0 10
b 2 9
c 4 7
d 6 4
e 8 0
I'm supposed to plot the data (which I did, but I'm not sure if beef should be on the x or y axis). next I have to find the oppurtunity cost of the first 2000 autos produced. I think its 1000 tons of beef. between which points is the oppurtunity cost per thousand autos highest…I was thinking D and E. But then it asks between which points is the oppurtunity cost per thousand tons of beef highest…but they're all the same…Aren't they? and should I make another graph for that or what? I'm so confused!
and I haven't gotten to this part yet, but if you help that'd be awesome. Label a point F inside the curve. Why is this an inefficient point? Lable a point G outside the curve. Why is the point unattainable. Why are points A through E all efficient points? Does this production possibilities curve reflect the law of increasing oppurtunity costs? Explain. What assumptions could be changed to shift the productions possibilities curve?

You can read about this at SFGate.com but here is a quote: According to Web measurement firm Compete Inc., Facebook has passed search-engine giant Google to become the top source for traffic to …
