What is the range of rates for CPM advertising?

May 18th, 2009 by admin

I've heard as low as 20 cents (Cost Per Thousand Impressions) up to $5. I've heard $30 CPM for video ads. Can someone give me a general idea of what I can expect for different types of ads, banners, pop ups, video ads, etc.? Thanks

There are no set prices for CPM ads.

Google Adsense CPM component goes as low as $0.20

BurstMedia has some CPM ads that are as low as $0.30, and high of $5.00. Layer ads are typically higher, as well as invue, flash or intertisial. The highest I've got since last year for targeted CPM campaign is $15.

I have not seen this year of ads that goes for $30 CPM but that can be available for premium websites (certainly not in any banner ad networks) such as MSN, Washington Post and the like.
