does copyright apply to cost per click?

Meta tags you can't, as that is hidden code from the view and there have already been lawsuits in years past – the offender was found guilty. PPC is fine, but if you get a C&D letter, I would stop. Make sure it goes to a page explaining why you are better than them, not just to your home page.

No you can not – they have a special department to chase this up. Check on the terms on Google and Yahoo – you will find they both say no!
