3M First-Quarter Sales Rise 15 Percent to a Record $7.3 Billion; Earnings Rise 16 Percent to $1.49 Per Share
3M today reported record first-quarter sales of $7.3 billion, up 15.2 percent year-on-year, including an 8.9 percent increase in organic sales volumes. Earnings rose 15.5 percent to $1.49 per share and operating margins for the quarter were 21.6 percent.
