I know that link exchanges help a website's ranking in search engines like Google, but does a banner exchange do the same? Because isn't a link to your website technically on a different website, counting as a linkback? Or, because the banners are constantly rotated with other websites' banners, it doesn't count?

I joined an exchange on myscraproom.ning.com where each person was assigned a letter in a Christmas word. The word I was assigned to was Joy and my letter was J Each person made a 6 inch piece for the banner in their letter for each participant of their word. So eventually when we receive them all we will have a hanging banner that spells out the word Joy I decided to make my pieces shaped like Christmas houses I wanted to share the process!!!
